Disneyland Diamond Days (60th Anniversary)

This weekend I went to my home away from home, Disneyland, thanks to my friend Becca ^_^
The Disney Parks were celebrating Disneyland's 60th Anniversary. The event was also called Disney Diamond Days.
This is quite the party, with Mickey and friends dressed their best,
and a sparkly new look for Sleeping Beauty's Castle.
There is also a lot of Diamond Days merchandise:
and special food
including these cool steins:
and this delicious cupcake:

Due to its recent release, and its namesake, Tomorrowland had it's own exhibit:

Another addition to the park was the Paint the Night parade. A dazzling spectacle of lights, color and entertainment.
My favorite floats were Belle
and Sorcerer Mickey
This parade is seriously incredible, and it's a wonderful way to celebrate 60 years of magic.
But it's not a party at Disney without fireworks!
The fireworks show could be seen not only in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, but in two other iconic areas: The Matterhorn, and It's A Small World.
Disneyland Diamond Days was a magical celebration.

There have been some updates to note:

Fantasmic viewing is now reserved by fast pass, similar to The World of Color.
The Tomorrowland pins are sold out at the park currently, but you can find them online.
Elsa and Anna also require fastpasses for meet and greets.
The Paint the Night Parade is even more colorful and brighter than Spectromagic!

Mosiac Steps

These steps are lovely. And they were created with the help of many people.
The stairs are located at 16th and Moraga.
The first set that I found were created recently, and they were called Hidden Garden Steps.

This was a volunteer project in 2013. And it's an incredible work of art.
I took a lot of pictures :)

My favorite part was the butterfly ^_^
After walking a few more blocks, I found the staircase that I was looking for:

This was a longer, more elaborate staircase.

The moon was my favorite part.

And the sun was at the top :)

After that I arrived at Moraga
Climbed these stairs . . .
Up this hill.
And I reached the top, where I could see almost all of San Francisco!
It was gorgeous!
And I felt accomplished for walking up almost 250 steps ^_^

Lover's Lane - San Francisco

This lovely walk has a history.
Located in the Presidio area it was created in 1776 to guide Spanish soliders, Franscician missionares and American soldiers to the mission in the south east. Today it is a lovely walk in a beautiful neighborhood.
The path is very pretty.
Many of the houses are also lovely, and they have a scenic view of the bay.

It was a sunny day.
There's also a meadow on the trail.
and a nice brick bridge.

The Palace of Fine Arts

This place is beautiful! And it's right across the street from where my friend works.
The Palace of Fine Arts was only meant to be around for a year, but its popularity drives its presence today.
The Palace of Fine Arts was produced by Bernard Maybeck in 1957. It was created to honor the Panama- Pacific exposition in honor of many forms of art.

The building had a beautiful atmosphere.

This place is not just a work of art, but a park that features many birds including
Cranes
and
Swans

It's a beautiful park near a neighborhood:

with so many flowers and trees
It was the perfect inspiration for my new story. Espcially the inside of the building:

There were a few wedding photo shoots going on too :)
And so many pretty views!

Honestly I felt like I was in Fantasia :)
This place is truly a work of art, and it was nice to see!
